TWISTED TALES!

Shoe laces have a surprising importance in our lives. A real watershed in a child's life is when he has finally

learned to tie his shoe laces. Here are our two favorite shoe lace types. Try them!

BAR SHOES LACES

Tie a knot to the shoe lace and then put it across the first eyelet through the outside.

Take your lace straight across and make the first bar.

Take the shoe lace out through the next hole right below.

Take it straight across to the opposite side to form the next bar.

Keep repeating it till you reach the bottom of the shoes.

DIAMOND SHOE LACE

Take your shoe laces through the bottom eyelets.

Skip an eyelet and move on to the third eyelet.

Repeat the same process with the other side.

Take your laces and go into the hole which you skipped earlier.

Take your laces and go directly across the forth hole and repeat the same with the other side.

Bring the lace down to the hole right below the one which you just went into, through the inside. Repeat the same with the other side.

Repeat the process all over again till you reach the bottom of your shoes.

HOLI HAI!

Holi is a festival of colors, celebrated mainly to mark the beginning of the harvest season. Growing up we all have experienced the day after Holi that we have spent in trying to get rid of the colors and failing to do so we would have to go to school/ college/ work colored in pinks and greens.

Organic colors come as a blessing to people who are very skin conscious since they come out easily and do not cause any harm to the skin. Organic colors may be safe but it is not possible to persuade everyone else to play with natural colors.

There are several ways to protect your hair, skin and eyes from the onslaught of Holi colors. Here are a few simple steps to minimize the effects of synthetic colors on your skin:

BEFORE PLAYING HOLI

  • Coat your nails in transparent nail paint so that the color doesn't stain your nails. Even the men will love this tip.
  • Apply lots of coconut oil, olive oil or castor oil on your hair and skin. The oil will form a layer over the skin and hair and the color will come of easily on washing,
  • Apply a thick layer of the greasiest sunscreen you can find. The oils will not let the color seep deep into your skin.
  • Wear long sleeves and full length cotton bottoms and tops to avoid direct coloration. Avoid wearing synthetic materials and Jeans.
  • A thick layer of petroleum jelly must be applied on the lips. Also go for long lasting lip tints to prevent staining.
  • Do not wear lenses.
  • Apply foundation just before playing Holi. This will protect your skin from dry colors.
  • The most ignored areas of the body are the cuticles, back of the neck and ears. We often ignore these areas and end up having the most staining there! This time, coat the area with Vaseline or some heavy oil.

AFTER PLAYING HOLI

  • To get rid of the colors make a paste of curd, gram and flour and apply it on your skin, Leave it on for 15 mins and wash it off with water.
  • Avoid using hot water to rub off the color.
  • Do not scrub the color off with soap. Soaps contain esters that erode the skin layers and cause rashes. Rather use cream based cleansers to get rid off the colors.
  • To get rid off itching, use a combination of glycerine with rose water on your face and rinse it with warm water.
  • Rub a lemon slice on your skin for 5 to 10mins to get the color off. DO NOT do this if you have a sensitive skin.
  • If you have oil paint on your face, dip cotton in coconut oil and rub it all over your skin.

                      DO NOT STOP PLAYING HOLI.
Unforgettable things are rare and come once in a while, so party hard and have an amazing Holi.
We wish you a very very Happy and Safe Holi.
Cheers :)

Being an incredibly stylish and comfortable fashion staple, long skirts or mostly called maxi skirts, are super chic and flattering, perfect for almost every occasion depending upon its style, design and print, both for day to day wearing as a night outfit if matched appropriately.

Silver heels - Inc 5

Like many other fashion pieces wearing a maxi skirt is difficult too, knowing that that long skirt looks great on women with a taller figure. But knowing how it is done can make it easier for women with all body shapes to carry maxi skirts with great elegance. For a woman with short or petite figure , you can use long skirts to trick and heighten the silhouette due to the length of the skirt. Try to avoid large prints and heavy skirted models. Petite figure looks great with lightweight, fit and subtle looks. Like this beautiful red Maxi skirt that is best for night outfits, if paired with sophisticated accessories.
